Here’s a tentative schedule for the weekend’s activities.
Event dates: May 25-26, 2012
Venue: Historic Old Salem located in Winston-Salem, NC, USA.
May 24th
Thursday night: Casual get together for those getting into town early at Senor Bravo which is within staggering distance of Hawthorne Inn. We have an area behind the bar to the left as you walk in. Dos Equis will be flowing so stay thirsty my friend! Senor Bravo 241 S. Marshall St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101
May 25th
Friday: ”The Rockford Run” rally starting at Farmington Dragway and ending at Westbend Vineyards in Lewisville, NC. This route will take you through the Yadkin Valley wine country from Lewisville, to Booneville to historic Rockford and back to Westbend Vineyards. Westbend now has a micro brewery so beer and wine tasting will be waiting for you at the finish. See more info on the Rallye page of this website. Complimentary lunch for vintage BMW teams. PAID EVENT REGISTRATION IS A MUST for all rally participants.
*Non vintage BMWs are welcome to come to Westbend Vinayards and Brewhouse as spectators(not eligible for rally , must bring your own lunch). Beer and wine tastings are open to all.

CAR WASH station all day Friday at Hawthorne Inn hotel parking lot.
Friday Evening: 7pm-10pm Meet-and-greet at Hawthorne Inn. Check-in, pre-ordered event item pick up, cash bar, appetizers, BMW videos showing, exclusive raffle of limited edition prints by Scott Sturdy, garage sale of old V@V banners and other schtuff benefiting Doxie Acre, and more. If you are in town, please check-in Friday evening to avoid a traffic jam at registration Saturday morning.
May 26th
Saturday: Vintage BMWs on display at historic Old Salem www.oldsalem.org . Historic buildings with interpreters, gardens, museums, shops, and more. Live music, Spaten beer garden in tavern meadow, and a wine garden located behind Salem Tavern. Vendor row is in the parking lot behind Salem Tavern.
**Non vintage BMWs are welcome as spectators, you can park at the Old Salem visitor center or grass parking lot on Academy St..
Saturday Evening: Vintage BMWs invade 4th street. Eat at some of the local restaurants and bars . I will try to reserve the main room at Finnagin’s Wake Irish pub on Trade St. (seats about 75).
May 27th
Sunday morning: I will lead a group to the old Shell station for photos. All who are interested need to meet in the Hawthorne Inn lobby at 9am. (it’s only about 5 minutes from Hawthorne Inn)
